Oldbury-on-Severn

Oldbury-on-Severn, South Gloucestershire, England

7.13 KM

A wander along the banks on the River Severn from Oldbury-on-Severn to Oldbury nuclear power station. The power station opened in 1967 and stopped generating electricity in 2012. It is currently undergoing decommissioning. Despite the obvious security you can walk surprisingly close to the buildings. The site has been used as a filming location for both Doctor Who and Blake's 7.
