Cadair Idris

Cadair Idris, Gwynedd, Wales

8.19 KM

Well...not quite. We had a few navigational and weather issues on this walk and had to miss out on the summit of Cadair Idris itself. The path up involved crossing a couple of fast flowing streams, the second of which was particularly tricky and involved a lot of trial and error just to find a good place to cross. By the time we reached the lake at Llyn y Gadair, Cadair Idris was completely cloud covered. Reluctantly we did the sensible thing and headed down the Pony Path to the start point. A tough walk, but a good day out!
